About me Sharna Emerson, I have been making a difference to people’s lives for 13 magical years. Creating change for those with pain & discomfort, improving movement and the quality of life from babies to the elderly and everyone in between, I do have a special spot for special needs!
I came across the EMMETT Technique in 2010, this was a life changer for our son! My introduction to the EMMETT Technique as a concerned mother seeking help for my son.
My son was 5 years old and suffering with severe cramps in his legs of a night-time. WOW! THE RESULTS!
We continued to see many more wow moments! With the list of other medical issues, living life with a VP shunt, 14 brain surgeries, seizures, development delays, behavioral issues over time, the improvements I cannot express how good it feels for such a relief, our son's life had improved over a short time!
I decided to do the short course in the EMMETT Technique, Emm-Tech. The excitement of what was possible using the EMMETT Technique intrigued me, I decided to take the training further and become practitioner. More than 11 years later and I have become an EMM-Tech Tutor instructor for the practitioner courses and dog course instructor. I feel privileged to be able to share the benefits this technique can bring to others.
The Chameleon Approach to Body Therapies
Emmett Practitioners are highly adaptable to the needs of their clients. The motto of the ‘Chameleon' approach, is that an Emmett therapist has the ability to assess and tailor the treatment according to the specific needs and beliefs of each client.
Benefits of The Emmett Technique
- Improves performance
- Brings quick outcomes
- Increases stamina
- Offers better recovery rate
- Improves the quality of life
How it Works
The Emmett Technique is an understanding of the body's response to light touch. It has been suggested that the body reacts in a similar way to the workings of a touch-screen. Small sensors allow access to the brain via the therapists' touch. As well as the ability to directly influence muscle action, these points may have a memory and emotional attachment.
